Refund, return, cancellation, and purchase terms for Jerky Delight Foods.

1. Agreement to Terms
By placing an order with Jerky Delight Foods ("we", "us", "our") whether online, via WhatsApp, or through a distributor, you agree to these Terms and Conditions in full, including our refund, return, cancellation, and delivery policies. If you do not agree, please do not place an order.
At checkout, you must confirm that you have read and agree to these policies before payment is processed.
2. Products & Pricing
All prices are listed in Nigerian Naira (₦) and are inclusive of applicable taxes. We reserve the right to update prices at any time without prior notice. Prices confirmed at the time of checkout are binding for that order.
Product images and descriptions are for illustration purposes. Actual appearance may vary slightly due to the handcrafted nature of our kilishi and kulikuli.
3. Orders & Payment
Orders are only confirmed upon successful payment. We accept payments via Paystack (card, bank transfer, and USSD). Order confirmation will be sent to the email or phone number provided.
We reserve the right to cancel or reject any order, for example where payment verification fails or a product is out of stock. In such cases, a full refund will be issued to your original payment method within 5-10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
4. Refund Policy
Due to the perishable nature of our food products, most sales are final once an order has been confirmed and dispatched. We do not offer refunds for change-of-mind purchases.
Refunds may be issued in the following situations:
- Failed or unverified payment: if payment cannot be verified or your order is cancelled by us before fulfilment begins, a full refund is issued automatically.
- Defective or spoiled product: if the product arrives clearly unfit for consumption, contact us within 24 hours of delivery with your order number and photographic evidence. After review, we may offer a replacement, store credit, or refund at our discretion.
- Wrong item delivered: if you receive a different product from what you ordered, contact us immediately with photos. We will arrange a correction or refund at no additional cost.
- Confirmed failed delivery: if your order was never delivered and is confirmed lost by the courier, we will issue a replacement or full refund.
- Approved cancellation: if you cancel before dispatch (see Cancellation Policy below) and we approve the request, a full refund will be processed within 5-10 business days.
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method used at checkout. We do not send cash refunds outside the Paystack payment flow.
5. Return Policy
We do not accept returns of opened, partially consumed, or perishable food products. This protects product safety and quality for all customers.
Returns or exchanges may only be considered when:
- The product is defective, spoiled, or damaged on arrival.
- The wrong product was delivered.
- The order was not delivered and is confirmed lost.
To request a return review, contact us within 24 hours of delivery with:
- Your order number
- A clear description of the issue
- Photos of the product and packaging received
If a return is approved, we may arrange collection, request disposal with evidence, or offer a replacement or refund depending on the situation. Customers are responsible for returning products in their original sealed condition only when we explicitly request a return.
Change-of-mind returns are not accepted. Please review product descriptions and delivery estimates before ordering.
6. Cancellation Policy
You may request cancellation of a paid order before it has been dispatched or marked ready for pickup. Once preparation or dispatch has started, cancellation may no longer be possible because of the perishable nature of our products.
To request cancellation, contact us as soon as possible with your order number via email, phone, or WhatsApp. If approved:
- Before fulfilment begins: a full refund will be issued to your original payment method within 5-10 business days.
- After fulfilment begins: cancellation is usually not available. If delivery has not yet occurred, we may offer a partial resolution at our discretion.
- After dispatch or pickup readiness: the order cannot be cancelled and standard refund/return rules apply only for eligible issues listed above.
We may cancel an order on our side if payment fails verification, stock is unavailable, or delivery cannot be completed due to incorrect customer details. In such cases, any amount charged will be refunded.
7. Delivery
Estimated delivery times vary by delivery zone and are shown at checkout and on our Shipping & Delivery page. Timelines begin after payment confirmation and are estimates only.
We deliver across Nigeria through configured delivery zones. You are responsible for providing accurate delivery details. We are not liable for non-delivery caused by incorrect addresses or unreachable phone numbers.

8. Wholesale & Distributor Orders
Wholesale orders (100+ pieces) are handled through our WhatsApp distributor channel. Bulk pricing and payment terms are agreed separately. Distributor orders follow the same refund, return, and cancellation principles unless otherwise agreed in writing.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use this website or our services for any unlawful purpose, to resell products in a manner that damages our brand, or to engage in any activity that disrupts the operation of the site.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on this site including text, images, logos, and branding is the property of Jerky Delight Foods. You may not reproduce or use it without written permission.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.
